Ireland, 100 min., Feature Narrative

Jes?om Havana is young, gay and desperately poor. His mother is dead and his father is in prison for murder. A talented dancer, Jes?kes his best shot at getting rich?by becoming a drag queen. (The Castro administration has always turned a blind eye.) But when Jes?nally gets his chance to take the stage, his burly, ex-boxer father Angel shows up at the club. Newly released from prison, Angel is desperate for a place to stay. And although Jes?rdly knows his father and has great misgivings, he invites him to stay a few days in his cramped apartment. Bombastic Angel, of course, has a few problems with his son’s lifestyle. This moving film is based on a true story.
