Israel/Germany, Feature Documentary, 2016, 70 min

This sweet, funny film follows three elderly brothers as they eat, drink and bicker their way across the wilds of Tuscany, searching for the cave where they hid from the Nazis├â┬ó├óΓÇÜ┬¼├óΓé¼┬¥ along with their extended family├â┬ó├óΓÇÜ┬¼├óΓé¼┬¥for six years. The oldest, Emmanuel, a hard-working 84-year-old anthropology professor, remembers some of the deprivation and constant terror of being discovered. Andrea, an 82-year-old thrill-seeking physicist, recalls that he actually had fun during those years in hiding. Sensible Bubi, the film’s storyteller, organized the trip. This is a survival story told with enthusiasm, humor and a zest for life.
