Elia Kazan (voiced by John Turturro), the informer who “named names” to Congress of suspected communists in Hollywood, directed On the Waterfront. Carl Foreman (voiced by Edward Norton), who was blacklisted and had to move overseas, wrote High Noon. This film imagines a conversation between the two using their own written words, as the film commemorates the 75th anniversary of the Hollywood Blacklist.
