Spotlight on the Sundance Film Festival 2026
Denver comedian Adam Cayton-Holland makes his feature screenwriting debut through an insightful, compassionate and bitingly funny story based on his book, Tragedy Plus Time: A Tragi-comic Memoir. Cayton-Holland transposes his real-life experiences into a warm and deeply original film about how Aaron Whistler (Cooper Raiff) survived after the death of his sister and best friend, Lydia (Kaitlyn Dever). Despite therapy and supportive parents (Hope Davis and David Duchovny), Aaron battles a severe case of PTSD. See You When I See You charts the uneven path of emotional healing from grief and trauma with refreshing honesty, through turns that are dark, humorous, and unexpected.), Aaron battles a severe case of PTSD.
