BT-10. Whistle

Australia, Feature Documentary, 2025, 84 min

From the Oscar–nominated team behind PORCELAIN WAR and the Grammy Award Winning QUINCY

Whistling is the oldest of all human arts, and The Masters of Musical Whistling is the biggest gathering of whistlers on the planet. Among them: Lauren, an actress battling anxiety; Ayna, a fiery Spanish performer; Yuki, a Japanese musical prodigy; Molly, a rising whistling pop star; Davitt, who shares music with Alzheimer’s patients; and Jay, a former Broadway hopeful teaching students he hopes will make him proud. As tensions build and judges judge, competitors go head-to-head for the ultimate prize: World Whistling Champion. Presiding over the chaos is “The Whistling Diva,” Carole Anne Kaufman, a suburban hairdresser and visionary producer, navigating strong personalities, financial pressure and backstage drama, all to elevate the quirky, magical art of whistling, just when the world may need it most.
