All About the Levkoviches

Hungary, Feature Film, 2024, 85 min

Although the big-hearted boxing coach Tamás, 70, has a kind word for everyone, he and his son Ivan, 35, have not spoken in years, and Tamás has never met his own 6-year-old. After Tamás' beloved wife ZsuZsa dies, Ivan calls and insists that religious regulations require he move in with his father for a whole week to mourn. Tamás agrees, but only if Ivan brings the six-year-old grandson he has never met. This atheist boxing coach's living room now becomes the site of religious rituals, which include a large group of Orthodox men praying three times a day, making Tamás increasingly grumpy. As past conflicts resurface, they embark on a funny, heartwarming journey of healing and understanding. Subtitled.
