Amanda Zurawski had severe pregnancy complications at 18 weeks and was denied abortion care under Texas law. Three days later, she came down with sepsis -- a massive life-threatening infection. An abortion was finally legally performed, and she spent 3 days in ICU near death. She eventually survived but may never again conceive without high medical costs.
