Chef Flynn

USA, Feature Documentary, 2018, 83 min

One of the most wondrous wunderkinds ever to hit the American culinary scene. Chicago Tribune

Ten-year-old Flynn McGarry transforms his living room into a supper club, using his classmates as line cooks and serving a tasting menu foraged from his neighbors’ backyards. With sudden fame, Flynn outgrows his bedroom kitchen and mother's camera, and sets out to challenge the hierarchy of the culinary world. Before he was 16, he had staged in top restaurants in Los Angeles, New York, and Europe. Director Cameron Yates creates a collage of Flynn’s singular one-of-a-kind childhood, and the result is a fascinating portrait of a young star’s rise as seen from the inside.
